Deatrick Holley "Goldie"
This here is the French Quarters. We outlaws down here, son and I’m undefeated. Back up boys, y’all get your cameras ready, looks like it’s fixed be a shooting. Stand back, we about to slap some leather. One. Two. Three. BAM! Another one bites the dust! This here is Goldie the Bourbon Street Cowboy, fastest gun in the French Quarters. That’s how old boy here makes a living, putting ‘em on boot hill. Won’t you all do the sweet thing and bless the box for me? Thank you, Dad. You all are so lovely. I hope that you and these fine young ladies have a wonderful evening...

Thank you Goldie!!
written by Meladean , October 11, 2009
My friend and I just got back from New Orleans. It was her 4th visit this year and my first. She had said the city would mezmerize me and fill all of my voids and force me to rejoice in everything that makes me female. Boy...was she ever right! And part of that experience was Goldie the Cowboy. Walking down the street on a Saturday night, there tucked in the wall was a wonderful man who called out to us "There goes Sassy and Saucey!" He was right on the money. He was kind enough to allow us to have our picture taken with him and his kind attitude was the icing on the already sweet cake. So, "Thank you Goldie! Thank you for your smile and keeping the history of the beautiful Nola alive and ever growing." Boo Ya Ya!!

On the way to Baton Rouge, I stopped for a drink in Jax Brewery with friends from BAMA, "eleaphant on the stick, BABY!" Started talking bout Dem Tigers, NCAA Football, and then Dem Boys with a bigger fan than me. A great personality! Full of contagious quotes! Thanks for reminding me why it’s good to recharge back home. I am ecstatic that you are you all the time. Looking forward to seeing you next time, Goldie.

Yah! Goldies 1st. Friend
written by J.M.Holley, January 08, 2012
Top shelf all the way and a true saint of God... Oh yah...and a cowboy who rounds up all the strays. I have known this guy for years and have watched him shoot down problem after problem and lace the life of that troubled soul leaving them in sparks of flaming joy. Seems like MAGIC, but it's not, it is only the true sperit of love that he bestoes on those who he calls out for a draw. When he shoots, you are left with smiles of joy and you realy feel his warmth of love, l mean, coupels that have a rift with each other while walking through dem quaters leave holding hands. Deatrick, Mr. GOLDIE, you B the MAN and this is JOEY talking and I aint a bad shot myself but I do shiver just crossing you shadow.
